About This Procedure:

Pregnancy tests are done by checking for a pregnancy hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in the urine. High levels of hCG can mean a pregnancy.

The price shown here is when having this urine test done at a doctor’s office. There is an another test which is to check for hCG in the blood as hCG can be found in blood sooner than in urine.  And, home pregnancy test kits can be bought at a local drugstore or grocery store – the kit typically cost $10-$20.
