About This Procedure:
This chiropractic session usually lasts 20-30 minutes. The treatment, called manipulation, is done most often by hand to reset the bones in the spine or other joints and muscles. The aim is to relieve pain and regain function like moving your back or joints more easily. These sessions will usually occur after an initial visit called a chiropractic evaluation.
This particular chiropractic visit is for treating 1-2 areas of the body; visits to treat more areas last longer and cost more. The visit cost does not include x-rays or other services that may be performed during a chiropractic session.
There are a number of other treatments to relieve pain and restore function including heat and ice, acupuncture, massage, physical therapy, and pain medicines.
